Amazing Tasmanian Science Stories

Want to find out some new, surprising stories about science and nature?  “Amazing Tasmanian Science Stories” is a beautiful new art-science exhibition happening in Hobart over first two weekends in February.
The show will feature new artworks by 10 Tasmanian artists, all telling stories about fascinating aspects of science in Tasmania. Next to each artwork will be a short, engaging, written story which will highlight the true science tales behind the art.  Together the stories and colourful artworks will feature lost treasures, life-saving research, quirky animals, beautiful plants, and mysterious Tasmanian life-forms that are very hard to categorise.
The exhibition is free to the public, and is funded by a federal Inspiring Australia grant, for public events to engage audiences with remarkable, little-known facts about science and nature in our state.
Public opening Friday 6 February 5.30pm. All welcome!
Exhibition open: Sat-Sun 7-8 February & Fri-Sun 13-15th February, 10am-6pm.
