Climate 101 Lecture Series – Part Three

The Antarctic Climate and Ecosystems CRC (ACE CRC) will host a ‘Climate 101’ 4-part lecture series at the Aurora Lecture Theatre at the UTas Institute of Marine and Antarctic Studies building (IMAS, Castray Esplanade, Hobart). The sessions are targeted at science teachers and those involved in science education, but others with an interest in climate science are also welcome to attend.
The sessions will include some scientific media content, experiments, and equipment on display. Useful links will be available afterwards online at the Antarctic Climate and Ecosystems CRC website.

PART 3: “Observing and modeling the ocean and atmosphere”

Dr Stephanie Downes (ACE CRC)
Stephanie’s talk will focus on how scientists collect ocean and atmosphere data for exploring the current climate, what it was like in the past, and how we use the data to make climate model projections.

Registration is essential, limited tickets available.

Part Four: Monday 6 June
