Fungimap Workshop : How to Survey for Fungi

Join us  in beautiful northwest Tasmania to learn how to do a fungal survey and to practice your new surveying skills during a foray into the majestic Tarkine. This weekend session in Burnie, Tasmania will introduce non-mycologists, field naturalists, environmental managers, eco-tour operators, activists, and citizen-scientists to identifying and surveying fungi in the field using the new Fungimap Guide to Conducting Surveys of Fungi in Australia. While prior experience participating in biodiversity surveys (or “Bioblitzes”) would be useful, enthusiasm for learning about fungi and for helping advance research into this critical kingdom is all that is needed.
So REGISTER NOW to join us for this fun and informative weekend! Registration costs only $25 ($15 concession rate available for students, unemployed, and those aged over 65.)
For more information contact Alena Moison at info@fungimap.org.au or Monday-Wednesday on 03- 9252-2374.
Funding for this workshop and for the development of the Fungimap Guide to Conducting Surveys of Fungi in Australia has been provided by the Cradle Coast NRM.
