Science Community Networking and Information Evening

Meet with other members of the local science community and industry. Hear how Hobart is packed full of science and how you can be involved. National Science Week, held in August each year, is an opportunity for all Australians to celebrate science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and the role that it plays in our society, our economy and in our everyday lives.
The National Science Week planning committee will be on hand to answer your questions about how you can hold your own event. The Australian Government will be represented with a visit from Geoff Crane, National Manager of the festival. You’ll be able to network with like-minded people interested in and working in STEM and learn how you can apply for community engagement funding.
Look for the Science Week banner at the entrance at 19 Davey Street (to the left of the main entrance and car park). We’ll be in the Royal Society Room and some catering will be provided.
RSVP’s appreciated for catering purposes to inspiring.tasmania@utas.edu.au by Monday 25 February or RSVP on Facebook.
