National Science Week celebrates talent and achievement in the fields of science, engineering, technology and innovation – and shows how science is interesting, challenging, important, and directly relevant to our daily lives.

Tasmania will be hosting guest speakers from interstate and overseas, including microbiologist and science communicator, Dr Siouxsie Wiles from New Zealand; Josh Richards, a participant in the Mars One project; and the Future Crunch team, highlighting innovation and technology.
The inaugural Festival of Bright Ideas will showcase the best science in Tasmania in Hobart (15th August) and on the West Coast (20-21 August).
