Oceans and Ice Film Tour

Ocean Planet and Clarence City Council invite you to join in Coast Care Week 2013. We are excited to bring another fantastic film night to Hobart’s eastern suburbs.
For your viewing pleasure, we will be screening Chasing Ice and Stories From the Sea followed by a few short and interactive (Q&A) talks about how climate change is affecting Tasmania’s coasts.

Chasing Ice is a visually breathtaking film about one man’s mission to gather undeniable evidence on climate change. The images he has captured will amaze you, his story and dedication will inspire you.

Stories from the Sea (BOFA 2013) is a compilation of short stories about the Tasmanian seas as they once were, through the eyes of wise old sea dogs . “A must see for every Tasmanian.”
Speakers include Professor Nathan Bindhorff, Research Program team leader of climate change and ocean processes at UTAS Institute for Marine & Antarctic Studies, and Susanne Hovington, a founding member of the Lauderdale Coastcare group and active citizen scientist.
Tickets: $10 ($5 concession)
