Parks Week Event

Parks Week is an annual celebration of the value of parks and reserves across Australia and New Zealand. It focuses on the range of health benefits and experiences such outdoor spaces can offer and how we can all play a part in their care. This Parks Week, come along and discover the unique range of options that Hobart’s parks and reserves can offer you.
Celebrate with us! Get Healthy by Nature at Long Beach Playground. Head to the Long Beach foreshore reserve in Sandy Bay for a whole lot of outdoor entertainment as we celebrate the opportunities offered in Hobart’s many parks and reserves. Bring a picnic and relax on a bean bag while you listen to live music. Try an orienteering challenge, play a little petanque, join in the native animal sandcastle competition, have a go at track building or do some pot painting and plant your own seedling to take home. Enjoy a coffee at the open space lounge and tell us what you love most about Hobart’s parks and reserves.
