Robocup Junior State Finals

This event is the culmination of months of work by robotics students preparing robots for the three main competitions: dance, soccer and rescue. In dance the robots need to use coordinated movements following along to music. In soccer pairs of robots fight to score goals on a roughly 3 meter field. In rescue robots need to follow a line through an obstacle course and then 'rescue' an aluminum can.
The event is usually attended by over 500 people and is open to the public. Robocup Jr. is exciting for children because they are fascinated by the robots that can be created by primary, high school, and college students just like themselves. Robocup Jr. fun for parents and other adults because it is great to see the excitement of the competitors, the drama of the competition, and creativity that goes into the dance performances.
Robocup Jr has a lovely vibe and is a great family event.
