Science Communication and The Arts seminar

A special networking event for scientists, science communicators and the Arts community.
Scientists and artists are all curious people, exploring the world and ideas through two different mediums. But when they get together magic happens.
Collaborative projects between scientists and artists have been producing some fantastic outcomes in recent years- come along and hear from some of the people involved.
Guest speakers include:
Chris Krishna-Pillay; Manager CSIRO Education (Vic) and Science Communicator Extraordinaire.
Chris is one of Australia’s most prominent science communicators and performers. He is the lead singer of science/rock band Ologism, and has worked for CSIRO Education for more than 18 years. His experience spans television, drama, musicals, stand-up comedy and radio.
Kirsha Kaechele; Founding Director Life is Art, Curator MONA Market (MoMa) and Heavy Metals Project, Co-founder of 24 Carrot Gardens.
Kirsha married David Walsh on March 22, 2014, but has been working her creative ways with the Mona site for the past few years. Since 2012 with the inaugural MoMa summer markets to various mind-bending science-meets-arts projects such as Heavy Metals and the 24 Carrot Garden Project, Kirsha has created seismic ripples around the Mona site and in David’s life.
