John Douglas, QVMAG Honorary Research Associate, has had a lifelong interest in the wildlife of Australia. Macro photography of spiders sparked his interest in naming and taxonomy. He now works in QVMAG’s collection of spiders. In this role he has discovered and named many new species of spider. John has also written Tasmania’s spider guide ‘Webs: A Guide to the Spiders of Tasmania’.
