The Scientific Basis of Climate Change in a Nutshell

Presented by Dr Scott Power, Senior Principal Research Scientist at the Bureau of Meteorology.
Scott will provide a brief overview of:
(i) the latest report on the physical science of climate change from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, and
(ii) the 2014 State of the Climate report from the Bureau of Meteorology and CSIRO.
Recent research examining the impact of global warming on the El Niño-Southern Oscillation will also be discussed.
Bio: Scott Power BSc (Hons), PhD, Dip Ed is a Senior Principal Research Scientist and a research manager in the Bureau of Meteorology. Scott is a Coordinating Lead Author of the recent scientific report  from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
He will provide you with a short overview of the physical science underpinning climate change drawing on the latest IPCC report and the State of Climate Report 2014 produced by the Bureau of Meteorology and CSIRO.
