This website is designed to be used by the Tasmanian community for sharing and networking science ideas, events, resources and passion! The process is community driven, so please take this opportunity to REGISTER and Get Involved.
Once you have registered and logged in, there are a number of options available:
Add Your Own Event allows anyone to advertise their upcoming event, making sure that as many people as possible know about it. Events can range widely in format; anywhere from talks and workshops to concerts and outdoor adventures. Once on the site, your event will be visible to the public and searchable by location, time, audience and topic. So let us help you spread the word today and list your event by clicking on the button to your left.
Add Your Science Resource provides an opportunity for those offering science-related resources to share the details with the wider community. A science resource can come in many forms and will often include educational centres such as museums, libraries, after school or holiday programs, public gardens and national park centres. Individuals can also be a resource, such as those willing to give talks and presentations about their area of expertise, or touring speakers and performers. There are a whole host of businesses, organisations and individuals who are open to the public or willing to make visits and have links to science. It is no wonder that there is such a wide variety when you consider that it is hard to think of an aspect of our day to day lives that doesn’t involve science – what we eat, where we live, what we wear, how we travel, how we communicate and how we’re entertained are all influenced by science and technology.
Join the Conversation on Facebook and Twitter and become a part of the WhySci network of science lovers all over Tasmania.
Once you have registered your event or resource it will be sent to a system administrator for approval. You will receive an email to confirm your registration once it has been accepted; this may take up to 5 working days. For any questions email firstname.lastname@example.org.
